Context

The Business Integrity (BI) organization at Meta safeguards individuals and businesses from malicious activities on the platform. This includes account protection, policy enforcement, fraud prevention, and supporting large-scale customer operations. The design team supports a wide range of internal tools used by data engineers, operations teams, and external human reviewers.

Problem

How might we onboard new designers faster and more effectively by demystifying the complex tool ecosystem, organizational structure, and problem domains within Business Integrity?

Approach

I was tasked with creating a series of interactive, systemic diagrams that visualize the landscape of Business Integrity. These diagrams serve as onboarding tools, helping non-technical team members understand:

• The structure of the Business Integrity organization
• The role of each sub-team and their responsibilities
• Tool interfaces and how they relate to different workflows
• The broader problem space and how tooling supports the enforcement lifecycle

Design Solution

The final artifact is a clickable, interactive diagram that illustrates:

• Organizational hierarchy and function of each team
• Key tools, users, and workflows supported by design
• Entry points and dependencies across data, operations, and support tools
